On November 20th, SURF Amsterdam is hosting the experimental Ethics Game Day. This event will give space for and investigate how ethics-focused games can serve as a unique way to ‘do’ and teach public values or create the right space to talk about ethics in our institutions. Together with Stichting Toekomstbeeld der Techniek (STT) and several educational institutions, we’ll explore the fascinating intersection of ethics, technology, and innovation through interactive, thought-provoking games.

What to Expect:

• A catered lunch to kick off the event and a chance to meet your fellow participants
• A selection of five unique games designed to challenge your ethical thinking in areas like AI, XR, and other emerging technologies.
• Presentations from a variety of game creators from all over the Netherlands including: STT, Windesheim, Saxion, Avans and Npuls.
• Two interactive sessions where you’ll get hands-on experience with each game
• We’ll end the day with a round of drinks and reflections on the insights we’ve gained together
